Age UK Walking Football West Cumbria
Are you aged 55 plus and planning a summer of football from the couch?
If so then we’ve got an alternative way to experience the beautiful game in person.
Walking Football is a more gently paced variant of the standard game that is a rapidly expanding community across Cumbria.
This project is newly formed in collaboration with Sport England and the Cumberland FA, and will form a new team for the Cleator Moor, Cleator and Frizington area.
Sessions will commence on Wednesday 23rd June and will take place each Wednesday between 6 and 7.30pm. The venue will be the new all-weather pitch at Cleator Moor Activity Centre A.K.A. the Bowling Green at Wyndham Street.
This is a FREE mixed activity for men and women, and a supported pick up and drop off service will be offered for anyone not able to travel independently.
