“I constantly have to pinch myself because I can’t believe this has happened to me,” says Stuart Langworthy as he discussed his role in walking football.
Since the beginning of the sport 12 years ago, Langworthy has become an important ambassador. Walking football was introduced to help people older who can’t access football anymore play the sport they loved so much.
Langworthy feels lucky to have found the sport after teaching business studies for 39 years. “First of all, I cannot describe to you how lucky I feel, how humbled I am; I mean, I’m a teacher at the end of the day.”
Travelling worldwide in his ambassador role, the Englishman has been able to teach the sport in many different places, including Rwanda and the Basque area…
