2) Why did you first get involved with Walking Football?
Facilities at Barnet are excellent.
Looked interesting.
3) How many times a week do you take part in Walking Football sessions?
Once a week.
4) Describe the buzz you get having the opportunity to play a team sport again at your age?
Like most people who have played football all their life, you look forward to the meet-up, the banter and the social side
Oh, and the match of course.
5) What one or two things do you currently do in your training sessions that you think are important to avoid injury?
Take things slowly, know your limitations.
6) Have you played competitive Walking Football, if so which tournaments?
Various tournaments around London area and EFL Cup Luton.
7) Has your diet changed since you have started playing Walking Football? If so what is different?
No.
8) Do you feel fitter and healthier since you have started playing Walking Football and if so in which ways?
Always been fairly fit.
But you always feel good after exercise.
Walking football is good for you both mentally and physically.
9) Have you had any injuries playing and if so what were they?
Yes.
Shoulder and foot.
Both minor problems.
10) Do you always have a club member present who has had first aid training at your games and training sessions?
Yes at Barnet fc
11) Has your social life changed since you started playing, and if so in what way?
Not really.
But all the players at Barnet are all fantastic and welcoming to all.
There is always something going on.
12) What are your best and worst memories of playing Walking
Best – whenever I win, particularly nice winning a tournament.
Worst. Picking up injuries.
13) How else has playing Walking Football affected your life?
I have to buy a round now and again, which I was not used to!
14) What do you like most about Walking football
Seeing people enjoying themselves in training.
15) What do you like least about Walking Football?
The sin bin.

16) What are your goals for the future when playing Walking Football?
To enjoy myself and encourage others to try it.
17) What advice would you give to someone who would like to play but is nervous about approaching a club or attending a Walking Football session for the first time?
Go and have a look at a training session.
Try and have a chat with some of the players.
I am sure all clubs will welcome you.
18) What do your friends and family think about you playing a sport again at your age?
They are astonished.
