“Seeing the programme grow over the last two years has been amazing to witness. The award is all down to our participants, our brilliant staff team and the fantastic sponsorship of Fairhurst Buckley. The social group that has formed is truly inspiring.”

“We are delighted to have been able to sponsor the County PALS programme. It’s easy to see how much the players enjoy being back taking part in a sport that they all love,” said Dave.

“It may be walking football, but it still gets very competitive on the pitch. I’ve been on goal and there’s no holding back! It’s also good to see the family members, carers and partners enjoying some free time and chatting together – an important social occasion for them too”, added Luke.

“What a brilliant achievement – congratulations to all involved! We’re very pleased and proud to play a part in such a terrific initiative.”

Stockport County Football Club were also winners at the Northwest Football Awards:
