Try Walking Football at Portishead Parkinson’s support group event

A support group is hosting an event for people with Parkinson’s disease in Portishead later this month.

Parkinson’s UK NW Somerset Support Group is organising the event on Thursday, April 23.

Taking place in Somerset Hall from 10.30am to 12.30pm, the event will offer a range of resources.

Attendees can learn about exercise and activity support, try out walking football, and receive speech and communication guidance.

There will also be advice on navigating benefits and available support.

The event, which is open to all, aims to show people with Parkinson’s what help is available nearby.

Visitors can also expect free tea and cake.
