We feel a big part of the success of our annual tournament is due to the teams who play in the event. They come with a great attitude of sportsmanship and with the goal to have fun playing our game of walking football.

The point of this email is to invite you to join us next November, here in Tenerife on the 14th and 15th November 2026 for the Tenerife Walking Football Tournament 2026. Presentation and Award evening will be on Monday 16th November 2025, from around 2:00pm till late.

We will again be playing at Tenerife Top Training, for a weekend of Walking Football.

Tenerife Walking Football Tournament 2026 Details

Price this year is 350 euros per team for two days of football, which exclusively covers Tenerife Top Training charges. The full amount needs to be paid at the time of booking your place in the tournament. Please do not book your flights until you have your place confirmed in the tournament, there will only be 8 teams in each group.

Once this number is reached for each group no more teams will be accepted. We will be playing the following groups: men’s 50+ and +67 and a women’s group over 35. Sorry the men’s 60+ group is fully booked. All teams will be 7 aside with10 per team maximum, so with a possible 3 subs.

Taking on board the feedback received from those who took part last November, we have made a few changes to the format. Only one underage player in each squad, no more than 5 years under the individual age group, so as an example; in the men’s 50s you can have one player no less than 45 years old.

Please note we will expect to see proof of age of all players. A copy of your passport or national ID card would be ideal.

We have added a men’s 67+ group and would like to grow the tournament to a maximum of 32 teams, 8 per group maximum, between the men’s and women’s competitions, so we will be introducing delayed starts, depending on groups and how many games each will play in the initial league format. Please be aware your group may not be playing both mornings and afternoons on each competition day. We feel we can keep the quality of the tournament at this level of entrants and format.

The rules again will be FA walking football rules, with no penalties until the semifinals and finals, same as this year. Some local rules may apply and will be communicated by the lead referee before the start of the competition. Each player will be eligible to play in just one team. All games will be played with the balls provided. As some teams or players may wish to film their games for future briefing and training purposes, please be aware that potentially you may be filmed or photographed. All players are responsible for their own accident and injury insurance. We reserve the right to combine groups if insufficient teams enter the individual group competitions.

Once availability is confirmed you will need to send your fee within 3 days (72hr) to secure your place. Entry is strictly first come first served. Once again, please do not book your flights until you have your place confirmed in the tournament, there will only be 8 teams in each group. Once this number is reached for each group no more teams will be accepted. As mentioned, you will be required to send copy IDs once you have completed your team line up.

If any of your teams have charities they like to support, then please mention your cause on the entry form and why we should look at raising money for them. We will again look to raise money for our supported charities, but we don’t mind looking at others too: In 2025 we raised 1000 euros split between FACT and Noah’s Ark and the Granadilla football team’s food and Xmas presents charity.
