Curly’s Walking Football Club played their first competitive matches against South Liverpool on November 25th.
They played three 20-minute games at Jericho Lane.
The team had to adapt fast to some unfamiliar local rules, with running allowed, not to mention the cold weather.
After losing the first game 5-1, with Andrew Griffith scoring the team’s first-ever competitive goal, from a free kick, they held their own and only lost the subsequent games 1-0.
