Plymouth Argyle Women’s WF Over 40s – 10th August 2024
What a day! I’m delighted to report we are the The Walking Football Association National Cup runners-up!
After a series of great performances in our group, we met Walking Football Birmingham & Solihull in the semi-final. We were held to a 1-1 draw but went through on penalties after strong efforts from Michelle Koksal, Kirsty Lambert and Sam Maddock. Despite galiant efforts from the whole squad, we were beaten by a better side in Bolton Arena 2-0.
Well done to everyone in the O40s squad today, for what was a brilliant collective performance! We scored a total of 13 goals in our 8 games, only conceding goals to Bolton Arena.
I can’t express how proud I am of everyone who played and supported us today. We’ve come such a long way in the last 12 months and I know there is so much more to come!
We go again tomorrow in the O50s tournament!

Another wonderful day in the sunshine at the The Walking Football Association National Cup!
This time it was the turn of the O50s and they didn’t disappoint!
A 1-0 defeat to the strong, established squad of Bolton was the only blemish on our record and the only goal we conceded!
In a tough group, this was unfortunately not enough to qualify, but we shall be back in 2025!
