Toronto Walking Soccer: Canadian walking soccer history was made with the the first ever competitive walking soccer tournament held in Ontario. Made up of eight teams from the major clubs of the province – Toronto, Oakville, Stratford and Sarnia – there were two groups of four teams. Stratford ran out winners of both groups, but everyone was a winner taking part in this momentous occasion as part of The Good Games.
The games were all played in good spirit and a lot of fun and banter was had between players, with this being the first time all the clubs have played together. Some awesome soccer on display proving the ability of older adult athletes. The games were all mixed sex and age with our oldest competitor being 90 years old!
We look forward to growing this tournament for 2025. See you next year!
