As part of the EFL Community Weekend campaign, Wigan Athletic are inviting community hero Dennis Heaton as a special guest to their fixture against Reading.
Dennis has been attending Wigan Athletic Community Trust’s Extra Time Hubs for several years, and in his own words, they have given him “a new lease of life” and helped him grow his confidence after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease…
“There’s always something to do whether that’s a game of pool, or the air hockey, I enjoy the walking football, badminton and I’ve even done rock climbing. There’s always something and there’s always somebody who’ll come and sit with you…”
