Romsey and District Walking Football Club had to put aside its usual approach to exercise and break into a run when a team from the club took part in this year’s Romsey Half Marathon to raise funds for Jane Scarth House, the Romsey Cancer Support Centre charity.
It proved to be a great effort from the over 60s & 70s walking footballers, whose participation in the event was organised by club member Graham Rose, as they completed the course in 3 hours 50 minutes and 44 seconds and more importantly raised £1,165 for a very worthy local cause.
