In 2018, Mark needed radiotherapy treatment in our Worcestershire Oncology Centre after being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.
To maintain his fitness and meet others who’ve been through the same thing, Mark was encouraged to join our Worcestershire Oncology Walking Football Club.
The football club was set up by Dan and Richard, two Radiographers from our Worcestershire Oncology Centre to support local cancer patients as they undergo or recover from treatment.
After 5 years of playing for the Worcestershire Oncology Walking Football Club, Mark has now been invited to play for the national England Walking Football Association team.
